This album presents a 70-minute journey through the ethereal soundscape of Georges Lentz’s String Quartet(s), derived from the 43-hour fixed media collage played continuously in the Cobar Sound Chapel. Located in the Australian outback, this collaboration of architecture, music and indigenous art transforms a forgotten water tank into a meditative sanctuary. Performed by The Noise, Lentz’s layered sonic spaces evoke the vastness of the night sky, blending moments of raw noise with quiet beauty. An intricate interplay of space, time and texture, this album offers a deeply immersive experience – both grounded in reality and reaching for the transcendent.
