Wolfgang Rihm: Sotto voce

I wanted to write a sister-work for the one that already existed, says Rihm. "Or a brother-work? Sotto voce is a slow, relatively quiet piece. Sotto voce 2 is something like an answer to it - another answer, so to speak, a fast movement, a motionfilled piece that whispers. It has to do with motion sequences and velocity."
