Georges Lentz: from “String Quartet(s)”

This album presents a 70-minute journey through the ethereal soundscape of Georges Lentz’s String Quartet(s), derived from the 43-hour fixed media collage played continuously in the Cobar Sound Chapel. Located in the Australian outback, this collaboration of architecture, music and indigenous art transforms a forgotten water tank into a meditative sanctuary. Performed by The Noise, Lentz’s layered sonic spaces evoke the vastness of the night sky, blending moments of raw noise with quiet beauty.
